Students enrolling in the MNS program often have questions about the scope of healthcare roles they will take on after graduation. I am interested in specializing in areas like gerontology, neonatal care, and pediatric care given my passion for helping children. One question I have is whether the MNS curriculum covers pediatric healthcare issues or if additional coursework is needed to work in pediatrics. I also want to understand the difference in skills gained through undergraduate versus graduate nursing programs to grasp the expected outcomes of a Master’s level education.

Furthermore, I am eager to take on nursing mentorship roles in the future. My question here is what additional skills or training may be needed post-graduation before transitioning into a formal mentor capacity. I also hope to learn about opportunities to continue advancing my nursing education, such as earning a doctoral degree. Finally, I am curious about international service opportunities like Doctors Without Borders. Learning about the application process for volunteer corps could open doors to gain valuable global health experience. The focus of the organization is to provide comprehensive care to patients, diagnosis, and treatment of mental illness. The healthcare facility specializes in offering different healthcare services to individuals and families.
